The design lens
A monthly gathering to spark curiosity, encourage conversation and share design inspiration
Role
Host and administrator

To help boost team connection and morale, I launched a monthly series called "The Design Lens"—a light, informal space where I shared everything from the brilliance of sardine can design to tips for better 1:1s with your manager. It was a small but meaningful way to spark curiosity, encourage conversation, and remind us all that great design (and great teams) are built on shared moments of inspiration.

Designers were invited to host a topic of interest. I also created a corresponding Microsoft Teams channel for water cooler discussion and to post funny memes. The banter was lively and helped to bridge the divide among designers between Toronto, Chicago, and various cities in California.

Topics ranged from podcasts of interest and visits to museums. Some even shared tech products they are excited about or AI tools they have been using.
